I don’t know how to upload photographs.
That is not a problem; it is really very easy once you know how. At the bottom of this page there is a step by step explanation for you to follow and you will soon see just how quick and easy it is to upload photographs.
I forgot my password, what do I do?
As your email address is your username, simply enter your email address into the “Forgotten Password” field on the home page and your password will be emailed to you. As long as you have not changed your email address and you have access to your email account you will receive your password within a few minutes.
I forgot to renew my account and now I can’t login in.
Don’t panic, we still have your inventory. In order to access your account you will have to open a Full Access account and join for a minimum of 12 months as well as pay for the time between when your account lapsed and when you rejoin. Simply go through the registration process again and enter the same username and password and you will be taken through the steps to activate your account.
I would like to advertise on your site, what should I do?
At the bottom of the home page there is a “Advertise” link, simply click on it and it will take you to our advertise page, if you fill in your details a representative of My Photo Inventory will contact you.
I would like to use My Photo Inventory but don’t have a digital camera.
That is not a problem, as long as you have a camera and a CD-ROM drive on your computer. If you select and open the type of account you would like to open with My Photo Inventory and then take pictures with your camera of the items you would like to use in your inventory. Once you have the photos you would like to use, take your camera to a film processing lab and ask that they put the pictures on a CD for you in a "jpg" format. Once you have the pictures on a CD place the CD in your computer disc drive and then follow the step by step explanation below.

- How to upload your photographs to the Site
On the Home Page, login to the site by using your
User Name (your Email Address) and your Password.
Go to the Item Registration Page
Fill in the following fields with the information about the item that you are going to add to your inventory.
Description
Location
Box No.
Value $
Brand
Model No.
Serial No.
You can add up to 6 photographs per item as a Full Access user or 2 photographs per item as a Free Access user. Use the browse buttons to point to the photographs that you are going to upload to the site.
After clicking on the browse button you will see the following window and you can "double click" and select the location on the computer of where the photographs are located that you are going to upload to the site.
After finding the location of your photographs they may be shown in a “file” format.
To preview the photographs prior to uploading them click on the view option “Thumbnail” to change the view.
After selecting the Thumbnails view you can preview images and select the one you want to upload very easily as shown in the screen below.
Note: All photographs file names must end in “.jpg” in order to upload them. This is the default standard way photographs are stored on most computers. It is know as a “JPEG” format.
Once you have finished adding your photographs and filling in the other necessary fields on the page, please click on the “Register an Item” button to register and save the item in the site.
Note: If you do not click “Register Item” prior to leaving the page the information you have entered will not be saved.
